DLP Discovery® 3000 Products
The DLP Discovery® 3000 product combines the high performance DDC3000 controller with a user programmable Virtex 4 (FPGA), 1 GB SDRAM memory, and user defined I/O connectors to provide a flexible, easy to use platform for advanced DMD product development. DLi offers D3000 starter kits, control boards, and chip sets. DLi has also designed the DLi3000 board for applications where form factor is a strong motivation in end product design. With each D3000 starter kit purchase you will receive phone support and access to DLP Discovery® KnowledgeBase.
The D3000 runs on a 200MHz DDR clock and delivers data transfer rates of up to 12.8Gb/s. The D3000 is differentiated from the D1100 series through extended capabilities and faster frame rates. The Discovery 3000 may be used as a development platform to develop a proof of concept or be integrated into a market ready product to support DLP® technology.
The D3000 is available in SXGA+ and XGA platforms. Both formats incorporate a 32 bit low noise LVDS (Low Voltage Differential Signal) for high-speed data transfer. The SXGA+ model uses a 0.95” DMD with a resolution of 1400x1050 pixels and a frame rate of 8600fps. The XGA model employs a 0.7” DMD with a 1024x768 pixel array. The 0.7” XGA has a refresh rate of 16,800fps. The D3000 is available in visible and optional UV configurations.
