DLP Discovery® 4000 Products

Now Available! The DLP Discovery® 4000 is the highest resolution and fastest spatial light modulator available. The D4000 offers full 1080p resolution via a 1920x1080 micro-mirror array. The D4000 runs on a 400MHz 2xLVDS (Low Voltage Differential Signal) DDR clock and delivers data transfer rates of up to 51.2Gb/s. The D4000 controller board includes the ultra high performance DDC4000 controller with a user programmable Application Xilinx Virtex 5 LX FPGA, memory, USB, EXP standard compatible I/O connector, and SODIMM connector for advanced DMD product development. DLi now offers D4000 control boards and chip sets. With each D4000 starter kit purchase you will receive phone support and access to Texas Instruments DMD™ Discovery Knowledge Base.

The D4000 is available in three DMD sizes. The 64-bit1080p model uses a 0.95" DMD with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and a frame rate of 24,690fps. The 1080p DMD delivers a blistering 51.2Gb/s data transfer rate via the FPGA. Two XGA DMD models are available. Both the 0.7" and 0.55" XGA DMD's employ 1024x768 mirror arrays and provide over 32,000fps with reliable data transfer rates of 25.6Gb/s.

The Discovery 4000 may be used as a development platform to develop a proof of concept or be integrated into a market ready product to support DLP® technology.
