DLP Discovery® 4000 Chip Set

The Discovery 4000 Chipset offers application developers high performance and unparalleled resolution with the new 1080p 0.95" 1920x1080 2xLVDS Digital Micro Mirror Device (DMD). A DMD is an optical semiconductor-based MEMS device that allows for the digital manipulation of light. When integrated with a light source and optics, this unrivaled device produces user defined binary light patterns with unparalleled data transfer rates, frame refresh rates, and flexible random row addressing. The D4000 is also available in 0.55" and 0.7" XGA models.

  • Available D4000 Spatial Light Modulator models:
    • 0.95 1080p 2xLVDS DMD, 1920x1080 resolution
    • 0.7 XGA 2xLVDS DMD, 1024x768 resolution
    • 0.55 XGA 2xLVDS DMD, 1024x768 resolution
  • DAD2000 DMD Power and Reset Driver
    • Generates reset control of DMD Mirrors
  • DDC4000 Digital Controller
    • Random row addressing support
    • Provides high speed user interface to the DMD
    • Controls mirror reset and timing information
