DLP Discovery® 4000 Controller Board
The Discovery 4000 is the most advanced spatial light modulator available today. The new controller board brings a new level of flexibility, resolution, and performance to Texas Instruments DLP Discovery® product line. The DDC4000 controller board consists of the Lattice ECP2 and a Virtex 5 FPGA. The DDC4000 controller board provides maximum flexibility in formatting and sequencing of light patterns and is designed to support a wide variety of DMD applications. Below is a simplified block diagram of the DDC4000 board.

- 5V input with 4A max
- 24,690 (1080p) Binary Frames per second
- 32,550 (XGA) Binary Frames per second
- Sequential or random row addressing
- Xilinx Virtex 5 LX Application FPGA
- 32/64 bit 400 MHz DDR DDC4000 Data Interface
- DDR2 SO-DIMM Connector
I/O Connections
- Onboard USB for Rapid Prototyping
- High speed EXP Expansion connectors supporting EXP compatible products.
- I/O connectors including a MICTOR test connector, JTAG, and GPIO.
