TopoCAM is a fringe projection-based 3D coordinate measurement machine. A measurement will include a 3D dataset and a complete solid model of the measured part and conduct a 3D comparison with the related CAD model. This can all be done with a one-button operation and completed in less than a minute. The standard version of the machine carries at least three CNC linear axis, which can move the 3D sensor and/or the measured part in the x, y and z direction. It is possible to install a measuring panning or rotation axis in addition to the linear axis.
TopoXenios was developed by GFM for the TopoCAM to process several million measurement points for 3D measurement. This software offers a long list of measurement tools for quantifying elaborate 2D and 3D features. It can generate graphical and numerical measurement protocols as well as protocols containing all testing characteristics, labels, tolerances and deviations. TopoXenios is also able to automate the complete 3D measurement routine.
Applications
Mould and tool making
Foundry (model making and series production)
Sheet metal industry (bended parts and punchings)
Vehicle construction as well as components suppliers
Plastic industry (injection moulded components)
Electrical equipment and plant construction
Determination of component characteristics such as height, width, length and shape
Technical Advantages
Automated measuring procedure incl. positioning for a complete acquisition of component (volume model)
Area-based data acquisition per measuring position
Non-contact measuring method
Simplest operation possible by the production personnel
Economical Advantages
Quality increase and higher process reliability due to areabased measurement and three-dimensional visualisation with up to 2.8 miilion measuring points per idividual measuring
Enormous saving of time in relation to tactile measuring procedures with comparable measuring point density
No renewed measurement required, if features are added or have changed, since the 3D geometry is completely present
No pretreatment of test sample (no landmarks required)
