D2D DVI Interface for DLP® Discovery™ 4100

As the global leader in DLP® Discovery™ control & interface design, DLi™ has released the D2D (DVI to DMD) interface. The D2D is intended for customers that require a high brightness, intuitive grayscale enabled DVI interface for the Discovery™ 4100 platform.

The D2D is an accessory software/hardware package for the DLP® Discovery™ 4100 Kit. The D2D daughter card connects to the D4100 control board via the on -board EXP connections and provides plug and play functionality for streaming video to the DMD or for creating patterns and images in real time with OpenGL, DirectX, or Flash. The D2D is available in two different configurations: Standard and the soon-to-be-released Expanded. The DLi D2D Standard provides users with the ability to stream XGA images at 60 Hz with 8 bit grayscale in two different modes: true 8 bit and luminance. The DLi D2D Expanded builds upon the Standard model by providing capacity for 24 bit color at 60Hz. The D2D’s configuration interface requires a PC; however, pre- configuration options are also available for both LINUX and MAC. The D2D package supports the following DLP® Discovery™ 4100 Kits:

• 0.55" 2xLVDS XGA
• 0.7" 2xLVDS XGA
• 0.96" 2xLVDS 1080p (coming soon)
