The DLP® Pico Projector offers inventors and developers the opportunity to integrate the power of DLP® technology into portable handheld devices. The DLP® Pico Projector is the perfect low cost entry platform for users who want to experiment with HVGA resolution DLP® technology. The DLP® Pico Projector also enables end users to develop low cost proof of concepts before migrating to the high performance DLP® Discovery™ product line. At the heart of the Development Kit is a DLP® Pico Projector chipset, a miniaturized version of the DLP® chip found in most high-end projectors currently on the market. The Pico Projector is capable of projecting a crisp vibrant image on nearly any surface. DLi is currently selling the Pico Projector and Pico chipsets. The Pico chipset includes the .17" HVGA DMD, DDP 1505 FPGA, and DDP PROM1505.

The DLP® Pico Projector is designed to be used in conjunction with the Beagle Board to enable a Linux based software development platform with OMAP processing horsepower. The mini-HDMI cable, provided with the Pico Projector, is inserted into the mini-HDMI socket on the Pico Projector and the opposite end is inserted into the HDMI socket on the Beagle Board DVI-D interface.
