Our DLi4110 Streaming Development Kits are full turn-key DLP® Development Kits with D2D Interface Expansion (DVI-D to DMD), video streaming, and 8-bit grayscale capabilities. The D2D enables users to stream video to the DMD and create patterns or images in real-time via a standard DVI at 60Hz 8-bit grayscale.
DLi4110 Development Kits include the Discovery™ D4100 Development Kit, D2D DVI Interface Expansion, Discovery™ Explorer Software, D2D Manager GUI Software and DLi Power & Cable Kit. The Digital Micromirror Device (DMD) can be specified for operation with UV or Visible wavelengths and is available in 0.7″ XGA, 0.95″ 1080p, or 0.96″ WUXGA resolutions.
The DLi4110 with D2D is a product unique only to DLi. It gives users the capability to stream video to the DMD via a PC (also compatible with MAC & Linux), DVD Player, or other devices with DVI. In addition to streaming video to the DMD, the DLi4110 is designed to give users the capability to create patterns and images in real time using OpenGL, DirectX, or Flash. The source video can be supplied by a PC, DVD Player, etc. with DVI output using any number of methods: creating a custom video or AVI, Flash, DirectX or OpenGL rendering, or image “slideshows,” etc.
The D2D is a daughter board that connects to the D4100 Controller Board via two on-board EXP Connectors, enabling plug and play functionality. With the provided D2D Manager Software & GUI, users can easily switch between 3 different modes: Binary, 8-bit grayscale, and 24-bit Expansion.
One of the most unique features of the D2D is the 24-bit Binary Expansion Mode, which takes a 24-bit color frame and converts it into 24 different binary frames, allowing for up to 1,440Hz. The 24-bit Expansion mode takes a 24-bit color frame and converts it into 24 individual binary frames, allowing for up to 1,440Hz binary. Users can easily add a second monitor in order to view live 60Hz video or patterns streamed from the DMD via the DVI.
The DLi4110 supports a wide variety of emerging applications including Night Vision Testing & Validation, Defense Reconnaissance, Remote Sensing, Scene Simulation, 3D Display, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality and 3D Printing.
